Explore the Archetypal Voices app

Archetypal Voices is my own synthesis of Human Design, the I Ching, astrology, Ayurveda and alchemy. I have developed it into an app, and use it in my homeopathic practice as well as in research and teaching.

How it began

I grew up alongside homeopathy and astrology. The Mappa Mundi was the first mandala I used for bringing them together, and I wrote about that work in Animalia.

Human Design opened another set of connections. The deeper I went, the more I wanted to uncover the simplicity within it. I went back to the source of the synthesis — the I Ching — and began looking at its circle of eight trigrams alongside the four axes of the Mappa Mundi.

I named the four reciprocal pairs the Archetypal Voices, and began working with the themes, remedies and families associated with each.

The four Voices

  • Seeker — Thunder and Wind: initiation, inquiry and the search for meaning.
  • Refiner — Fire and Water: transformation, dissolution and refinement.
  • Integrator — Lake and Mountain: connection, discernment and embodiment.
  • Magnetiser — Heaven and Earth: creativity, receptivity and direction.

I like the term voice because we hear our patients talk about their state. My interest is in the patterns that emerge through their language, their relationships and the way they describe being unwell. The chart gives me another way to explore what I am hearing.

Four layers, one synthesis

The current app explores disposition, constitution, miasm and befallments. These concern how we meet the world, how we process experience, the conditioning we carry, and the changes that shape our lives. A Totality view brings the four layers together.

The app includes chart casting, remedy-family connections, teaching decks, diagrams and a knowledge library. It makes the research available to students and practitioners who want to explore the framework for themselves.
