I developed the Synoptic Guide to bring related symptoms together under broader repertory headings. The aim is to make a case's affinities, causes and modalities easier to recognise before exploring the finer distinctions between remedies.
Seeing the whole pattern
The work draws on Boenninghausen, Boger and Phatak. It combines thematic Mind rubrics, general modalities and referenced additions from modern provings and clinical material.
The Befallments chapter looks at events in the person's life: losses, shocks and transitions, and how their effects enter the case. The repertory leads back to materia medica for further study and confirmation.
